enFASE – experience sharing for new immigrants.
What is enFase?
enFASE is a national integration project developed by Caritas Norway with support from IMDi, aimed at increasing knowledge about Norwegian society and strengthening qualifications for work or education among immigrants. Caritas Norway seeks to ensure that the establishment phase in Norway is as smooth as possible, equipping individuals for the next stage—active participation in Norwegian society. The project serves as a supplement to existing courses and training programs in the introduction program, adult education, and asylum reception centers.
All the tools we develop are available at www.enfase.no.
If you would like more detailed information about the project, you can also read our methodology report for partners.
The project is based on experience-sharing and information in native languages. This means that the core content communicated through enFASE is built on the experiences and stories of former immigrants regarding their integration journey in Norway. Relatively new immigrants will gain knowledge about Norwegian society and motivation to actively participate in their own integration process by listening to and discussing the experiences of those who have been in a similar phase.
Who is enFASE for?
The target group for enFASE consists of individuals who are relatively new to Norway and speak the languages listed below.
Which languages is enFASE available in?
enFASE is available in Arabic, Tigrinya, Dari, Turkish, Somali, and English, with information distributed in these languages.
What tools have been developed in enFASE?
Chuck out our You Tube chanel:

Film Interviews (developed by The Human Aspect)
These films are produced to share knowledge and encourage reflection among the target group about the integration process in Norway and how to work purposefully towards the job market. Former refugees share their integration experiences and what others can learn from them.
Experience Meetings
This report outlines a method for organizing language-homogeneous groups that can watch the films and discuss them together. We encourage introduction programs, adult education centers, and asylum reception centers to arrange such meetings and watch the films collectively.
Chat and Telephone Guidance
The target group can contact Caritas Norway for guidance on various issues, supported by the Caritas Resource Center in Oslo.
Library
We have produced general information in the mentioned languages about Norwegian society, covering topics such as work, education, and community.
Digital Experience Meetings (Live Streams)
Throughout the project period, live broadcasts will be held regularly, covering key topics related to integration into the job market in the mentioned languages. These broadcasts will feature volunteers sharing their experiences, clips from the experience films, and discussions. This initiative was developed in response to infection control measures, and we encourage stakeholders in the integration field to share these broadcasts with the target group.
Collaboration on enFASE?
We aim to reach as many individuals in the target group as possible. As there is currently a low influx of new immigrants to Norway, the project must collaborate closely with introduction programs, adult education centers, and asylum reception centers nationwide to maximize its reach.
If we have not contacted you, please get in touch with us and speak with project manager Anders Stenersen about potential collaboration.
